We are a fitness & sports performance training facility located in Sterling, VA.

We focus on fitness and sports perfomance training.

Whether you'd like to lose weight, get in shape, stay in shape, avoid injuries, prepare for a sporting event, or get ready for collegiate sports we have the tools and expertise to help you reach your fitness goals.

Meet your hosts

Claudy Abranchness


Claudy played basketball in college at JC Smith University and played overseas in Belgium and Holland.

Over his 20+ year career as a physical trainer, Claudy has trained over 1000 athletes, many of whom played at the highest levels of collegiate sports. Some went on to compete at the professional level.

Kristen Abranchness


Kristen played basketball at Radford University and spent years as a Strength Coach at Virginia Tech.

Luc Atangana

Marketing Partner

Luc spent over 10 years of his life playing basketball in high school and at the colligiate level.

Luc handles the digital marketing tasks at The Grind including the coordination of this event.

What we do

Sports Performance Training (Youth Training)

Performance Training is training designed for young athletes (middle school, high school, college). The training includes speed training, agility training, strength training and more.

This kind of training aims to prepare younger athletes for colligiate or pro sports careers.

Bootcamp/Group Workouts

This is a high intensity, functional training designed to help adults of all ages get and stay in great physical shape year-round.

Team Training

Whether you are a youth club looking to take your fitness to the next level, or a corporate team looking for fitness team bonding, we've got the tools and expertise to help you reach your goals.

Team training is for groups of people who want to train together. This includes youth clubs, corporate team bonding, or even just a group of friends.
